We approach investing with patience and intention, build businesses with a long-term ownership mindset, and steward our family’s resources with purpose — guided by faith, family, responsibility, and a commitment to leaving things better than we found them.
Our Story
Ours began with a $35,000 act of belief.
When Justin Strickland was ready to start his first business, traditional lenders said no. His grandfather, C.W. Strickland — a former tobacco sharecropper and butcher — believed otherwise. He took out an equity line on his home and invested $35,000, essentially his life savings, in his grandson.
That act of faith became the foundation for everything that followed. Today, Strickland Legacy Group carries the same spirit forward — putting capital, experience, and relationships to work in ways that create opportunity for others and endure across generations.

Our Philosophy
Business, capital, and ownership are not ends in themselves. They are tools — for building opportunity, strengthening communities, and carrying a family’s values forward. Our decisions are made in decades, not quarters.
Our Principles
Four commitments that shape how we invest, operate, and carry a legacy forward.
Who We Are
Giving
We support people and organizations creating meaningful opportunity — focusing on foster care and adoption, economic mobility, first-generation immigrants, education, and causes throughout the Winston-Salem area and surrounding community. We believe impact grows when we give together.
Partner with us
We partner with entrepreneurs, operators, investors, and community leaders who share a long-term view. Whether you are building a business, stewarding capital, or strengthening a community, we look for relationships measured in decades — and grounded in trust.
The Work Ahead
Capital can be invested. Businesses can be built. Opportunities can be created. But the real work is deciding what all of it is ultimately for.
